Foreign National Arrested in Yerevan with Over 50 Cocaine Packages
Yerevan, September 25 – Law enforcement authorities in Yerevan have apprehended a foreign national in connection with illegal drug possession and distribution. The arrest took place on Wednesday, September 25, following intelligence gathered by the Mashtots Department of the Community Police regarding illicit acquisition and sale of narcotics.
At approximately 4:50 PM, officers detained the individual, identified as a foreign national residing on Paronyan Street, on Vahktang Ananyan Street in Yerevan. The suspect was subsequently transported to the police department for further processing.
Over 55 Grams of Cocaine Seized
During a search of the 29-year-old suspect’s handbag, authorities discovered 48 packages containing a powdery substance, with a total weight exceeding 55 grams. The foreign national admitted that the packages contained cocaine and stated that he had already placed three additional packages and sent photographs to a Telegram recipient.
The placed packages were subsequently located during an inspection conducted as part of the criminal proceedings initiated by the investigative department of Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts.
