Yerevan, September 7 – A fire broke out yesterday morning in an apartment on Araratyan Street in Yerevan. The alarm was received by the 112 operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at 08:00 AM. Five fire and rescue squads from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service, along with an aerial ladder and duty groups from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Department and the Psychological Support and Medical Provision Department, were dispatched to the scene.
Rapid Response and Containment
The fire was isolated at 08:26 AM and fully extinguished by 08:37 AM. The blaze affected approximately 8 square meters of one of the apartments on the 7th floor and about 10 meters of electrical cable. The swift action of the firefighting teams prevented further spread and minimized damage.
Psychological Support Provided
During and after the incident, psychological support was provided to three citizens affected by the fire. This measure underscores the comprehensive approach taken by emergency services, addressing not only the physical dangers but also the emotional impact of such events on residents.
Ongoing Investigations into the Cause
The exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the relevant authorities. While the immediate danger has passed, the incident highlights the importance of fire safety measures in residential buildings.
