Tragic Incident in Yerevan: Man Found Dead in Parked Car

Yerevan, September 1 – A distressing discovery was made on August 28 in Yerevan when the body of a 53-year-old man, identified as Armen M. from Shirak Province, was found inside a parked Hyundai car. The incident, which occurred near building 12 on Azatutyan Avenue, has prompted a police investigation into the circumstances of his death.

The alarm was raised around 9:05 AM when the Kanaker-Zeytun Police Department of the General Department of Community Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia received an operational report about a body in a car. An operational group from the Kanaker-Zeytun police department, led by department head Melik Sofoyan, immediately responded to the scene.

Investigation Commences, No Signs of Violence

Upon arrival, community police officers located the Hyundai vehicle with Russian license plates. Inside, they discovered the body of Armen M. Preliminary external examination of the body revealed no signs of violence, leading authorities to conduct further investigations to determine the exact cause of death.

Documents related to the incident have been prepared by the Kanaker-Zeytun Police Department and transferred to the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district investigation department of the Yerevan City Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, as reported by shamshyan.com.

  • July 30, 2026: A woman’s body was found on the bank of a river under the Nor Hachn bridge in Kotayk Province, marking another mysterious death.
