Shirak Avia to Connect Yerevan and Tashkent with New Direct Flights

Yerevan, April 28 – Shirak Avia airline has announced the launch of direct flights between Yerevan and Tashkent, Uzbekistan, beginning on June 2. The new service will operate once a week, every Tuesday, providing a direct link between the two capitals.

The announcement was made by the press service of “Zvartnots Airport,” as reported by Pastinfo. This development is expected to boost tourism and business ties between Armenia and Uzbekistan.

Flight Schedule and Details

The flights will depart from Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport (EVN) and arrive at Tashkent International Airport (TAS). Passengers can expect a convenient weekly schedule, with flights available every Tuesday. Further details regarding exact departure and arrival times, as well as ticket pricing, are expected to be released soon by Shirak Avia.

This new route adds to Shirak Avia’s expanding network, which recently saw the launch of flights from Yerevan to Astana, Kazakhstan, on April 20, 2026. The airline continues to strengthen its presence in the region, offering more travel options for passengers.

Impact on Regional Connectivity

The introduction of direct flights to Tashkent underscores a growing trend in regional air travel, aiming to improve accessibility and foster economic and cultural exchanges. Uzbekistan, known for its rich history and vibrant culture, is becoming an increasingly popular destination for travelers from Armenia and beyond.

This route is particularly significant for business travelers and tourists looking for more efficient ways to reach Central Asian destinations. The direct connection will reduce travel time and simplify logistics, making it easier for individuals to explore new opportunities and experiences.

Shirak Avia’s commitment to expanding its international routes reflects the increasing demand for air travel in the post-pandemic era. The airline’s strategic decisions are geared towards meeting passenger needs and contributing to the development of the aviation sector in Armenia.

The airline encourages passengers to visit their official website or contact their customer service for the most up-to-date information on flight schedules and bookings.
