YEREVAN, April 23 – A 32-year-old man was critically wounded in a stabbing incident in Yerevan yesterday, April 22, 2026. The incident, involving an altercation and fight, occurred at the intersection of Mashtots Avenue and Pushkin Street.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, the Yerevan Criminal Department of the General Department of Criminal Police received operational information around 06:00 AM on April 22 that a citizen had been hospitalized with stab wounds. The victim, identified as Yuri Grigoryan, 32, was transported to Heratsi Hospital No. 1 in critical condition and is currently undergoing surgery, unable to provide a statement to the police.

Journalist Gagik Shamshyan reported that doctors informed the police of Grigoryan’s severe condition upon arrival at the hospital. Police officers were responsible for transporting the injured man to the medical facility.
