Mysterious and Tragic Incident in Yerevan: Foreign National’s Body Discovered in Hotel Room
Yerevan, July 15 – A mysterious and tragic incident occurred in Yerevan yesterday, July 15. Around 7:00 PM, the Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia and the Yerevan Criminal Department of the Main Directorate of Criminal Police simultaneously received operational information about a body found in one of the rooms on the second floor of the well-known “Rejine” hotel complex in the Nork-Marash administrative district.

Officers from the Yerevan Criminal Department of the Main Directorate of Criminal Police, led by department head Hayk Harutyunyan, arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, it was confirmed that the received information was accurate. The body of a man was found in one of the hotel rooms, with his hands, feet, and mouth bound with adhesive tape.
Investigation Launched into Apparent Murder
Investigators from the Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts’ investigative department of the Yerevan City Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee, along with forensic experts from the Investigative Committee, have arrived at the scene. A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department under the article of “murder” to clarify the circumstances of the incident and identify the deceased.
This incident follows other recent tragic discoveries in Yerevan, including the body of a 16-year-old girl found in the yard of a high-rise building in Davtashen and a man electrocuted in Sari Tagh. The authorities are working to determine the identity of the victim and the perpetrators of this crime.
