Police Identify Suspect in Car Theft in Yerevan; Manhunt Underway

Yerevan, July 31 – Law enforcement authorities have identified the perpetrator of a car part theft in the Davtashen district, with a 49-year-old Yerevan resident now subject to a manhunt. The incident, reported on the evening of July 2, involved the theft of the front bumper and damage to the headlight of a Chevrolet Volt, resulting in an estimated loss of 250,000 drams.

Investigation Leads to Suspect Identification

The alarm regarding the car theft was received by the Mashtots Department of the Community Police on the evening of July 2. A resident of the 2nd Davtashen district reported that the front bumper of his “Chevrolet Volt” had been torn off, and the headlight was also damaged. The total damage was estimated at 250,000 drams, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Police.

A criminal proceeding was initiated, and as a result of measures undertaken by community police officers, it was determined that the theft was committed by 49-year-old Suren Kyureghyan, a resident of Tichina Street in the capital.

Manhunt Launched for Suren Kyureghyan

A manhunt has been declared for Suren Kyureghyan. Authorities are appealing to anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to contact the Mashtots Department of the Community Police or call 112. The confidentiality of informants is guaranteed.
